Environmental Field Technician

Bohemia, NYFull-time

We are looking for a Field Technician with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our team—a position based from our Bohemia, Long Island NY office.

Job Requirements

  • Experience performing field sampling (e.g., soil, soil vapor and groundwater)
  • Air monitoring and oversight a plus
  • Adaptability and willingness to adjust to client needs
  • Travel to NYC and the 5 boroughs (company vehicle)

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience
  • Team-oriented, safety conscious, individual with good communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment, consistency and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and around construction sites
  • Able to pass a background, motor vehicle, and drug screen

Experience with the following areas is considered a plus:

  • Construction background
  • OSHA 40-hour (HAZWOPER) and/or OSHA 10/30-hour (Construction Safety) certifications

Environmental Associate Project Manager

Bohemia, NYFull-time

We are looking for an Environmental Associate Project Manager/Project Manager with 3 plus years/5 plus years of full-time environmental engineering, geology, or environmental science experience to join our team to work on New York and New Jersey projects.

Position Qualifications

Must have proficiency and relevant experience with the following:

  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and familiarity with NYC Office of Environmental Remediation E-designation and Voluntary Cleanup Program and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Brownfield Cleanup Program
  • Experience with preparing technical reports and assessments
  • Experience in planning, organizing and conducting environmental site assessment and investigations
  • Self-driven and ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision and direction
  • Preparing environmental reports and work plans with Project Manager and Principal guidance and review
  • Managing and mentoring junior staff of project-level scientists/field technicians
  • Overseeing and documenting environmental remedial actions
  • Ability to perform and manage field tasks and activities
  • Preparing proposals, tracking project budgets, and reviewing contracts

Experience with the following areas is considered a plus:

  • Conducting Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments or Preliminary Assessments
  • Fundamental understanding of remediation treatability/pilot studies and design for various types of media (e.g., soil vapor extraction or sub-slab depressurization)
  • AutoCAD proficiency
  • Professional Licensure or Registration
  • Preparing Long Island Well Permits, SPDES permits, and NYC sewer discharge permit applications

General Requirements:

  • Based out of our Bohemia, NY office, with travel throughout the greater NY area
  • Good organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable with logistics coordination and working with outside consultants, vendors and service providers
  • Team-oriented, safety-conscious individual with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • OSHA 40-hour (HAZWOPER) and/or OSHA 30-hour (Construction Safety) certifications are a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record with no DUI’s, excessive or major violations in the last 5 years
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental, engineering, or science-related fields. Masters a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years for APM, 5 years for PM of full-time New York environmental consulting or engineering experience
